Buying a home in today's market is ROUGH!

I have always been skeptical about Real Estate agents and have had a hard time understanding the amount of work required to get a deal done vs. the commissions paid. My most recent house buying experience working with Bill Flynn and the Doug James Agency forever changed my opinion. They worked together get my wife and I in our perfect house for us in an incredibly competitive seller's market. In mid-May, my wife and I realized that if we wanted to buy a house in Castle Rock, we needed to move now. We called Bill Flynn because we needed someone who knew our market. Within 24 hours Bill had a list of properties in our price range ready to visit. We found a very nice house on the first night and were under contract within a week. At inspection there were issues that thwarted the deal which is where the fun began. Our Townhouse, was sold in 1 day so we were under immense pressure to move quickly. Bill stepped up and met with us daily showing us dozens of houses with visits nearly every day for over 2 weeks. We found a house that we thought was a dream house, and had a counter offer revoked in less than 3 hours. We bid on two other houses that we didn't win. Bill was creative and positive at every turn After another long day of looking at houses, my wife and I drove by a house that was coming soon. We hadn't seen the inside, but it's location was spectacular and it was in our price range. Bill jumped in and found out that it wouldn't go up until Friday - 3 days into his long planned vacation. The night before he left, he suggested something radical, we place a bid on the house before it went on the market. The bid was of course rejected but it told the sellers how serious we were. Doug jumped in on Bill's absence and finished the deal - in a very competitive market. Solid teamwork, always available, creative and aggressive. Just what a buyer needed in this market. Certainly earning their commission and changing my mind forever.
